G503 - L-134/F-134 Flathead Engine Disassembly Tray (Willys MB / Ford GPW)

Keep your teardown organized — the right way

Stop using cardboard templates and makeshift plywood boards. This purpose-built 3D printed tray is designed specifically for L/F-134 engines to keep every component in order during teardown and reassembly.

Why You’ll Want This

  • No more mixing up valves or pistons
  • Keeps head bolts/studs in the same location with the correct torque sequence
  • Speeds up reassembly and reduces mistakes
  • Built for real shop use — reusable

What It Holds

  • 4 Pistons, with or without the conrods
  • 8 Valves
  • Valve springs, retainers, keepers, tappets
  • Head studs/bolts (with torque sequence)
  • Piston rings
  • Spark plugs

✔ Engraved valve order: E-I-I-E-E-I-I-E
✔ Optional raised camshaft holder

Note for F-134 engines : while this tray was designed specifically for L series engines, you may be able to use most of this for your engine as well. While there no dedicated slots for the more complex overhead valvetrain components, you may be able to hold them in the keepers bin.

Material & Build

Made from PET-GF15 (15% glass fiber reinforced Polyethylene Terephthalate):

  • High temperature resistance
  • Chemical resistant (oil, light brake cleaner exposure)
  • Strong and rigid for repeated use

What You Get

  • 2-piece interlocking tray (dovetail design)
  • Full hardware with the following :
    • 4x 3/8-16 x 10" carriage bolts
    • 2x 3/8-16 x 1-1/2" bolts
    • 10x 3/8-16 nuts
    • 6x 3/8 washers

Assembly (Quick Overview)

  1. Slide tray halves together (tight dovetail fit — rubber mallet may help)
  2. Install center bolts to lock halves (do not overtighten)
  3. Flip over
  4. Add carriage bolts (heads facing up) with a nut and washer with enough thread poking through.
  5. Flip upright and install a nut on each carriage bolt. Do not overtighten

Optional: camshaft holder can be added to slots and glued in place if added stability is wanted. PLACE CAMSHAFT CAREFULLY AND ON THE NON-MACHINED SURFACES ONLY

Important Notes

  • Not intended for parts washers or hot tanks
  • Safe for typical light exposure to oil and solvents
  • 3D printed item — minor cosmetic blemishes may be present
  • Designed as a functional tool, not a mass-produced plastic tray

Production Time

Made to order — please allow up to 10 business days
This is over 30 hours of printing and 500g of plastic filament

Instructions

*Inspect the parts for damage

*Slide the parts together, they can only go in one way due to the tapered dovetail design. You will probably need to use a rubber mallet to get the tray halves fully seated. This is a tight slip fit by design to ensure as little flex as possible. Be gentle, you are dealing with plastic.

*Add two 3/8x1-1/2" bolts and nuts to lock the two halves together in the center two raised holes.
*Add carriage bolts (heads facing up) with a nut and washer with enough thread poking through.

DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. SNUG THE BOLTS ONLY

*Flip over and use. OPTIONAL - If you want to use the camshaft holder addon, you can just slide it in the slots near the bins at the bottom of the tray. You can use superglue to lock them in place
